Contribute to the Hobby ...
Become a Mentor

Many APS members have asked for help in valuing a collection, cataloguing difficult U.S. material, preserving philatelic material, identifying tagging varieties and fakes/forgeries and answering questions about unusual collecting areas.

If you are an APS member and would like to contribute directly to the future of the hobby by encouraging and assisting others, please fill in the short questionnaire below.

Thank you in advance.

The terms of the APS Mentor Program are as follows:

  1. The APS is facilitating contact between an APS member who needs help and a more experienced APS member. It cannot be held responsible for the APS Mentor's advice.

  2. Both the requestor and the APS Mentor are expected to conduct themselves within the APS Code of Ethics.

  3. The Society cannot reimburse postage or compensate APS Mentors for their time.

  4. The APS Mentors Program is not intended as an opportunity for commercial philatelic transactions.

  5. Statistical records only will be kept on the Program. Contacts between the requestor and the APS Mentor will not be supervised.

  6. APS Mentors will not be expected to do difficult identification or expertizing.
