In 1958 the APS began having a second annual meeting in addition to its annual Convention. For the first 40 years the meeting was hosted by other shows but in 1998 the APS began running a second annual show called AmeriStamp Expo. While not as large as the August event, the winter show and meeting is generally the second largest annual philatelic event in the United States.
