Programs to Support

Youth Activities Fund - Donations help pay for efforts to introduce youth to the hobby of stamp collecting including the All Star Stamp Club program which supports nearly 2000 school-age youth in stamp clubs. Other projects have included youth essay contests, providing stamps and other materials for distribution at shows, and publication of resource materials.

Tiffany Endowment Fund - A traditional endowment from which the Society can only utilize the earnings as directed by the Board of Directors.

Library Endowment Fund - Similar to the Tiffany Endowment Fund but earnings may only be used for Library operations and projects.

Library Acquisitions Fund - This fund is used to purchase materials such as books, journals, and auction catalogs that are missing from the Library's Collection.

Publications Fund - A revolving fund which provides seed money to help allow development of publications for sale. All profits from sales must be returned to this fund until the seed money is replenished.

Building Fund - Donations to this fund are used to help pay off the mortgage on our current facility and to help pay for any capital improvements.

The above represent the current funds that most individuals find most appropriate. For significant donations, typically $25,000 or more, we will consider establishment of additional funds that may more closely match the donor's wishes.

Both the American Philatelic Society and the American Philatelic Research Library and classified as public charities and have non-profit tax-exempt status under IRS Section 501(c)3.
