Postal History Symposium

The 4th Annual Postal History Symposium sponsored by the American Philatelic Society, American Philatelic Research Library, and the Smithsonian Institution's National Postal Museum will be held in the American Philatelic Center October 30-November 1, 2009.  This will be held during Classics 2009 sponsored by U.S. Philatelic Classics Society, Inc.  The topic for this Symposium is 'Post Office Reform'. Tentatively, the first session will be held at Friday, October 30 at 2 pm. Dr. Richard John is the Keynote speaker at Friday night's dinner at the Nittany Lion Inn.  There will be additional sessions Saturday and Sunday October 31, and November 1.  For individuals wishing to participate as speakers a Call for Papers is available, the deadline for proposals is July 1, 2009.  There will be plenty of times for participants to view the exhibits and visit with the dealers who are in Bellefonte for Classics 2009.
