The APS All
Star Stamp Club was organized by the American Philatelic Society
to help you with your future philatelists program. You as leaders
are the key people in promoting philately with the youth!
As part of
this membership you will be receiving a quarterly newsletter,
which will include tips from other youth leaders, program ideas,
and reproducible pages for you to use at your meetings. We would
like ideas to share with the other leaders in future newsletters,
activities such as meeting ideas, games, or special activities.
The children
in your club will receive an APS All Star Stamp Club membership
card, certificate, a pin, and a philatelic birthday present. We
are therefore asking for you to provide your members' names, addresses,
and birthdays. This information will be for the APS All Star Stamp
Club records only and will never be released.
Participating
APS All Star Stamp Clubs must have as their primary purpose the
promotion of stamp collecting among elementary and middle school-age
children.. Although it is based a nine month school year it is
not structured for classroom teaching. For the program to work
the children must have the opportunity to be involved in the club
for several years.
There
is a $15.00 annual fee. Once your club is enrolled, your youth
collectors
are members of the APS All Star Stamp Club at no cost to them.
We hope that
enrolling your club as an APS All Star Stamp Club will be helpful
to the good work you already are doing, and that sharing our ideas
will be good for all of us now, and for the future of the hobby!
