Sesame Street, T-Rex and Spooky Silhouettes Coming in 2019

     The US Postal Service just announced three new stamp issues to be added to the 2019 stamp program. Additional details including dedication ceremonies and dates have not yet been announced. The three new stamp subjects are

Sesame Street


      The stamp art features photographs of 16 Muppets from Sesame Street, the beloved childrens show — Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster, Rosita, The Count, Oscar the Grouch, Abby Cadabby, Herry Monster, Julia, Guy Smiley, Snuffleupagus, Elmo, Telly, Grover and Zoe

Tyrannosaurus Rex


      The “Nation’s T. rex,” the young adult depicted on two of the stamps is one of the most studied and important specimens ever found and will soon be on display at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History.

Spooky Silhouettes


      Four stamp designs feature digital traditional Halloween motifs illustrations. Artist Tyler Lang created the artwork. USPS Art Director Greg Breeding designed the stamps
