Since March 2020, our hobby and the rest of the world have been changed by the worldwide COVID pandemic. As a result, nearly every stamp club and stamp shows were shut down for more than a year, leaving us to practice philately online and in isolation. Yet, our hobby didn’t just survive; it thrived.
Recently, with the introduction of vaccines, we’ve watched a sharp decline in cases and hospitalizations. With those positive signs, government restrictions are lifted, and we’re finally getting back to normal.
As we’re getting back to normal, everyone in our hobby can make a big difference to not only curb the spread but help end the threat. So, we’re encouraging collectors to get back to philately, visit stamp shows, go to stamp club meetings, and visit philatelic friends and dealers and please remain safe as we work to end the threat of COVID.
Our philatelic partners representing all facets of the hobby have joined us in using this badge to spread the message. We look forward to seeing you at a stamp club or stamp show soon!
If your organization would like to join, please contact Scott English, APS Executive Director at scott@stamps.org.
