La Posta Publications Publisher Peter Martin has announced that the Fourth Quarter 2024 issue of La Posta: The Journal of American Postal History will be its milestone 300th to be published. The top-award winning journal is the leading publication devoted to American postal history.
To mark the occasion, La Posta will use the opportunity to correct the record and celebrate the achievement. Due to the irregular structure of early La Posta issues, there was a loss of a volume number. To make the issue year and volume number match, the 2024 Fourth Quarter issue will be a standalone Volume 56. It will be totally separate issue and require a separate subscription.
Volume 56 will be greatly expanded above the usual 72-page quarterly issues and authors and researchers are invited to submit articles for this collectible souvenir. While all American postal history subjects will be considered, a special section in this issue will be devoted to advertising postal history. Writers guidelines are on the La Posta website at www.lapostapub.com. For questions, e-mail the editor at: pmartin2525@yahoo.com. The submission deadline is October 15.
The subscription price for the standalone Volume 56 Issue 300 is $25.
In 2025, the 57th year of publication of La Posta: The Journal of American Postal History will be Volume 57 and resume the normal four issues per volume. Regular subscriptions to the full-color, 72-page quarterly journal are $36 per year (U.S addresses).
