The American Philatelic Society (APS) invites authors and editors to participate in the Philatelic Literature Competition at the Great American Stamp Show (GASS) to be held August 10-13, 2023, at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio. GASS is the largest annual stamp show held in the United States, and is jointly sponsored by the APS, American Topical Association, and American First Day Covers Society.
For societies and authors, participation in the competition offers an opportunity to share your literature with the hobby's biggest audience. Accredited experts will judge the submissions and provide feedback to the competitors.
The Jury for the 2023 Philatelic Literature Competition will be:
Journals, books, catalogs or other literature published since January 1, 2021, are eligible for submission in the competition. For more information about the competition, the prospectus and entry forms are available. Deadline for entry is May 5th.
Feedback/Awards Announcements - The Literature Exhibit Feedback session will be held on Friday Aug. 11th at 2 p.m. The Grand Award will be announced at the Saturday evening Celebration Banquet. All other medal levels will be given out at the Literature Medal Ceremoney on Saturday Aug. 12th at 5:30 p.m.
