The Philatelic Literature Review (PLR), published quarterly and available by subscription, is one of the few journals concentrating on the publication of philatelic material. In addition to reporting on recent library acquisitions, the PLR provides reviews of books, catalogues and research papers. Ongoing features include publishing updates from new releases and research, to literature awards, and news of worldwide philatelic libraries.
The first quarter issue of the Philatelic Literature Review for 2022 is now available! Some highlights from this quarter's issue include "Quick Guide to Stanley Gibbons Catalogs" where the APS staff and Richard West offer insights into the history of this large family of catalogs and how to use them as a reference work, and "Trials, Tribulations, and Good Fortune of the (Aero) Postal History Student", where Jerzy W. Kupiec-Weglinski tells his personal journey in researching and writing a book that explores airmail from Poland in 1914 - 1939 and its vital role in European history.
