Using philatelic artifacts from the era, Mr. Maselis’ presentation will cover the following topics:
Early mail and mail routes in the Belgian Congo.European exploration, the abolitionist movement, transportation, and more.The impact of technology upon correspondence and postal history.
Mr. Maselis serves as the President of the Club de Monte-Carlo, Immediate Past President of the Royal Philatelic Society London, Past President of Academie Royal de Philatelie de Belgique, Council Member of the Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum, Corresponding Member of the Academie de Philatelie (France) and the Real Academia Hispanica de Filatelia e Historia Postal (Spain); Honorary Member of the Russian Philatelic Academy and the Club of Elite Russian Philately.
