This stamp chat looks at collecting postage stamps, postal history, and picture postcards from the United States Panama Canal Zone. The Taft Agreement will be used as a historical marker to develop a timeline of overprints from Panama and United States used within the Canal Zone. Examples of specialty collecting areas will be shared as the program moves through the timeline. This will serve as a primer to start collecting Canal Zone or a jumping point to dig deeper into Canal Zone specialties.
