Road to the Great American Stamp Show 2021 starts now. The show will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, on August 12 - 15, 2021.

The American Philatelic Society, the American Topical Association, and the American First Day Cover Society announced the next phase of planning for GASS: Chicago 2021.To push ahead to Chicago in August, we need our dealers, exhibitors, and societies to rally for the show. The APS established milestones to achieve by May 15, 2021, to move to the next phase of show preparation:
-
-
75 dealer registrations,
-
25 societies committed, and
-
Five hundred exhibit frames committed.
Failure to reach these milestones will result in the cancellation of the show.
“We’re calling on everyone in the hobby to rally. It’s been far too long since we’ve come together to celebrate collecting,” said Scott English, Executive Director of the APS, “We don’t just want to meet these targets; we want to exceed them. The APS needs you!”
With the State of Illinois easing restrictions, the Stephens Center will soon reopen to visitors. If vaccination rates reach 50 percent of all Illinoisans aged 16 and older, the state will enter Phase 5, lifting most or all restrictions. The APS will continue monitoring COVID developments with local officials to provide a safe environment for attendees to the show.
“The health and safety of our members and visitors are important. We will take all the proper precautions to have a successful and safe show,” added English.
English noted in the short time since the show’s announcement, dealers and members have reached out to ask how they can help. His response, “Get registered and get everyone you know signed up!”
