The Dedication is hosted by the American First Day Cover Society, with speakers from USPS, the American Philatelic Society and the American Topical Association
This release celebrates the American spirit of innovation with a pane of 20 stamps featuring five different designs, each representing an area in which U.S. scientists and engineers have made significant contributions: computing, biomedicine, genome sequencing, robotics and solar technology.
The American Philatelic Society will send a First Day Cover (designed by the AFDC), with a Bellefonte, Pennsylvania postmark, which is considered the official post office for the Innovation stamp.
