APS Sponsored Events

The APS annually sponsors two large stamp shows; the Postal History Symposium; a StampCruise; Volunteer Work Week, as well as many educational events including our annual Summer Seminar! APS STAMPSHOW - Our largest show, held every August, typically hosts First Day of Issue Ceremonies for new postage stamps, 80-120 stamp dealers, 600-900 frames of exhibits, a public auction, 25-50 societies, meetings and seminars, and more! Click on the icon for the next StampShow details.

APS AmeriStamp Expo - Our second largest show held every winter, usually in February, typically hosts 50-75 dealers, 300 frames of exhibits, meetings and seminars, society booths, and more. Click on the icon for the next AmeriStamp Expo details.

United Nations Stamp & Postal History Show - The United Nations Philatelists, Inc. (UNPI) is pleased to announce a joint effort with the American Philatelic Society (APS) to present a special World Series of Philately exhibition devoted to United Nations (U.N.) philately at APS headquarters in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania from October 27 through October 28, 2017.

Postal History Symposium - Hosted jointly with the American Philatelic Research Library, and the Smithsonian National Postal Museum since 2006.
Tenth Blount Postal History Symposium – 2018 The Tenth Blount Postal History Symposium will be held Nov. 1-2, 2018 at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum in Washington, D.C. The theme is "WWI and its Immediate Aftermath". Information is now available.

Educational Events - including our annual Summer Seminar held every June, On-the-Road Courses, Boy Scout Merit Badge Workshops, and other learning opportunities for beginner through advanced collectors.

Volunteer Work Week - Come work with members and staff at the American Philatelic Center on projects for both the Society and the Library.
2017 Work Week is being held July 17-21, 2017.
