Ever thought of becoming a PLR subscriber? Now is your best chance to become a new or renewing subscriber to the library’s quarterly journal the Philatelic Literature Review (PLR). [Edit: the PLR is published biannually as of 2025.]
With the close of 2022 the APRL saw the largest number of new subscribers to the PLR in over five years. But for 2023 we want to grow that number even further. So to encourage new subscriptions and to thank our renewing subscribers we are offering a subscriber special to both.
In January and February 2023 if you become a new subscriber to the PLR, along with your subscription, you will receive a $10 discount code to use for a one-time purchase of books from the library’s used books inventory. New subscribers will be sent the code upon subscribing.
But there's more.
We would also like to express our thanks to all our renewing subscribers as well. So, we will also send our renewing subscribers a similar $10 one-time discount code with our gratitude. Their continued support has enabled Editor-in-Chief Susanna Mills and her editorial team to grow and enhance the content and direction of the journal.
Once new and renewing subscribers have received their discount codes they can use them for a one-time purchase from January to March 2023 only. In order to see what items are available in the library’s used book inventory, click on the “USED BOOKS FOR SALE” tab on the first page of the David Straight Memorial Philatelic Union Catalog or contact the library at library@stamps.org. Be sure to check back regularly as the inventory in the online catalog is updated on a weekly basis as new items come into the library.
Discount codes will be sent out starting in January. If new or renewing subscribers fail to receive their codes simply contact the library at stiffney@stamps.org.
Start the New Year off right by becoming a new or renewing PLR subscriber and claim your discount!
