Bill Schultz, an accredited APS Chief Judge and prolific exhibitor, will present his research on the subject of toll gates and toll houses (1800-1899), including; a historical retrospective, roles, differentiation of gates and houses, a state by state analysis, the ways that toll gates and toll houses assisted and hindered the movement of mail and more.
