The U.S. Postal Service will premiere a new stamp to celebrate Kwanzaa, the celebration of African American heritage. The video of the virtual event is at the end of this story.

This annual holiday, which takes place over seven days from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1, brings family, community and culture together for many African Americans. A pictorial postmark of the First Day of Issuance location Nashville, TN is available at usps.com/stamps. News of the stamp is being shared with hashtag #KwanzaaStamps. A virtual stamp dedication ceremony for the Kwanzaa stamp will be posted on the Postal Service’s Facebook and Twitter pages on Tuesday October 13, 2020 at 11am edt.
