The new Mystery Message stamp will put your sleuthing skills to the test. Featuring bright colors and interesting shapes, the stamp design is a visual riddle spelling out a message. Each colorful square contains a letter in an interesting pattern.
The patterns, though seemingly random, were carefully placed so that when put all together, the message reads, “MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE!”
Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamp.
Mystery Message release ceremony date is July 14, 2021 at Washington, DC.
Local COVID-19 restrictions may require virtual first-day-of-issue ceremonies or no ceremony at all.
Virtual events will be posted on the Postal Service’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Additional information will be provided later.
Customers may preorder and purchase stamps and other philatelic products through the Postal Store at usps.com/shop, by calling 800-STAMP24 (800-782-6724), by mail through USA Philatelic, or at Post Office locations nationwide.
