APS volunteers, Darlene and Leonard piqued our interest when they brought this cover in; circa May, 1970 from Portugal sent to San Diego, marked "Recovered from the Sea". Covers with markings like this one can fetch substantial dollars, but is it authentic? This mini-series explores whether it is or, if it's a philatelic fraud.
