The Great American Stamp Show (August 15-18 in Hartford, CT) hosts the annual meet­ings of many philatelic societies and organizations, meet and greets, educational seminars on a variety of topics, and much more. While you're planning your show itinerary, don't forget to make a note of the dates and times of the special APS events happening both on the show floor and in the meeting rooms.

• Thursday and Friday, Noon: APS is co-hosting two Postcrossing meet-ups with Linn’s Stamp News after the first day ceremonies. Postcrossing is the largest post­card exchange program in the world, with hundreds of thousands of participating penpal/snail mail enthusiasts. We’ll be socializing and signing special show postcards. Let us know that you plan to attend, and request meetup postcards in advance here.
  
  
• Friday, 10 a.m. Women Leaders in the Hobby, a panel and meet and greet. Featuring Cheryl Ganz, Lisa Foster, Dawn Hamman, Kathy Johnson, and Melanie Rogers. All stamp collectors are welcome to attend as we celebrate women and women leaders in philately. Spread the word! 
  
  
• Friday, 2 p.m. Get the Most Out of APS Stampstore on HipStamp with APS Sales Director Carol Hoffman and Jays Yoakum.
  
  
• Friday, 4 p.m. Interview with a Philatelic Great - Wade Saadi. Hosted by APS President Cheryl Ganz, a per­sonal interview with Saadi (former APS president).
  
  
• Saturday, 9 a.m. APS General Meeting. The APS and APRL boards will host the annual meeting, give a brief report on the state of the APS, recognize several award-winners, and open the floor for questions.
  
  
• (DATE CHANGED) Saturday, 11 a.m. A YPLF Year in Review. Meet the Young Philatelic Leaders Fellow­ship Class of 2024 and hear about their year studying philately.
  
  
• Saturday, Noon. Digital Preservation Roundtable. Much of our hobby knowledge is stored on small, niche websites, which we run the risk of losing for­ever. The APS is opening the conversation about what should be done to preserve digital-based hobby knowledge for future generations.
  
  
• Saturday, 2 p.m. The Fight Against Modern Counter­feits with the United States Postal Inspection Service. Representatives of the USPIS will discuss the problem of modern counterfeits.
  
  
• Saturday, 3 p.m. The Scourge of Modern Counter­feits. Counterfeit expert Wayne Youngblood follows up the USPIS discussion with a closer look at modern counterfeits and advice for collectors.
  
  
• Sunday, all day. Dungeons and Dragons RPG ses­sions. In honor of the new Dungeons and Dragons stamps issued by the USPS, APS has partnered with Battle Standard to host on-the-show-floor sessions of D&D. Spots for the games will be limited. Click here to register.
  
  
• Sunday, 2 p.m. Estate Planning, with APS Expertizing Director Ken Martin.
