Forgeries of this and subsequent attractively designed early semipostals of Romania have been distributed in large numbers by way of the packet trade and in approvals. They are said to have come from an unidentified source in Belgium. A major omission in the forged design makes it easy to distinguish form the genuine stamp. ~ Linn’s Stamp News, April 4, 1988. Forgery - There is no hyphen between “ROMANIA” and “POSTA.” Genuine - There is a prominent hyphen in “ROMANIA-POSTA.”
