Today, the American Philatelic Society and American Philatelic Research Library announced updates to the American Philatelic Center's operations plan. The American Philatelic Center (APC) remains closed to the public and members until Pennsylvania Governor Wolf further eases health and safety requirements for businesses operating in Centre County. The APS and APRL have expanded curbside service to assist members with dropoff and pickups at the APC.
In May, Centre County moved into the Green Phase of the Commonwealth’s COVID-19 plan. At that time, the APS and APRL announced that the APC would remain closed to the public and members out of an abundance of caution to employees.
Under Pennsylvania's Green Phase guidelines, employees continue to carry out operations both on-site and remotely. Restrictions include requiring wearing masks indoors, social distancing, and surface cleaning. To meet the 75 percent capacity restriction, staff able to telecommute continue to do so. The modified operations ensure that member services continue with minimal disruption.
The staff of the APS and APRL wish to thank members for their continued support and understanding at this time and we look forward to continuing to grow our services to the membership in the future
