We are excited to announce that the APS Stamp Store on HipStamp officially launched on December 20. You can reach the new store at www.stampstore.org or by visiting www.HipStamp.com and finding us under the store listings. With over 100,000 members and $20 million in annual sales, HipStamp is the leading marketplace devoted exclusively to stamp collecting. Founded in 2016, HipStamp was built for stamp collectors, by stamp collectors.
Buyers will be required to set up a HipStamp account if you don’t already have one. This can easily be done by clicking “Sign Up” at the top right of the screen and following the prompts (we recommend that you set up your account with the same email you have on file with the APS).
Buyers at the new APS Store on HipStamp will receive the same level of service as before: being able to buy from multiple sellers from one location; all sellers are APS members who abide by our Code of Ethics; next business day shipping; one point of contact with APS staff for problems or returns; a secure checkout; and our 30 day money back guarantee. Buyers will have access to HipStamp’s advanced search capabilities as well as “item watching” and “want list” features.
While this new format may take some time to get used to, we believe you will find it is a more intuitive approach to easily locate treasures for your collection. Watch for upcoming how to video clips and visit our FAQ page at https://aps.buzz/APSHipAnswers .
First and foremost, APS Store sellers will continue to submit items directly to the APS, where all the work of uploading, scanning, answering questions, filling orders, processing returns/refunds are done by the APS staff. You simply sit back, watch your sales, and receive a monthly check! Our sellers will continue to access their items and status reports through the MyAPS portal at www.stamps.org. Sellers’ material will now have increased visibility with the 100,000-plus HipStamp members and through being tagged in favorites and want lists as well as appearing with other searches of similar interest. For information about getting started as a seller, contact APS Director of Sales Carol Hoffman at [email protected] or call 814-933-3803 ext. 270.
Some additional features are coming in the weeks ahead. The highest priority is requesting certificates through the American Philatelic Expertizing Service. We’re also working with HipStamp on launching the member badging program, so buyers can search for APS members to buy and receive member discounts in the APS Store.
