The APS is excited to announce that the Great American Stamp Show will once again host several first day ceremonies in 2025.
The United States Postal Service will host two first day ceremonies and one special dedication at GASS this year. The first day ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. Central on Thursday, August 14 and Saturday, August 16, while the special dedication will be held at 11 a.m. Central on Friday, August 15. While the stamps to be featured on Thursday and Friday have yet to be announced, we can reveal that Saturday's first day ceremony will be for the Luna Moth stamp (non-machineable surcharge, pane of 20).
In addition to the USPS ceremonies, on Thursday, GASS will host a first day ceremony for the latest Boston '26 World Expo label at 1:00 p.m. Central and a United Nations Postal Administration first day ceremony at 3:00 p.m. Central.
On Friday, showgoers can attend the unveiling of the 2025 issue of the Rattlesnake Island Local Post at 3:00 p.m. Central (time may change), as well as an additional release (more details TBA).
More information about these ceremonies will be announced in the coming months via the GASS 2025 First Days page. For all the latest details about GASS 2025, be sure to check out and bookmark the show page.
See you in Schaumburg!
