The St. Louis Stamp Expo has been scheduled for August 14 through 16, believed to be the first show scheduled since the COVID-19 outbreak placed restrictions on public events around the United States.
Mike Peter, the Expo's Executive Director, said in an email to the APS:
"...The Stamp Community wants and needs a show bad. The St Louis Expo committee will bring the goods."
The Expo is an APS World Series of Philately qualifying show, held at the Renaissance Hotel on Natural Bridge Road in St. Louis.
Peter said the Expo will be following local and state guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy show. There will be a limited amount of people allowed on the show room floor, and masks/face coverings will be required. Attendees will have their temperature taken at the door, and anyone with a temperature of 100.3 or higher will not be admitted.
Recently, the American Philatelic Society announced that the Great American Stamp Show was canceled for August 20-23, 2020, in Hartford Connecticut. APS plans to return to Hartford in 2024.
The St. Louis Stamp Expo is a joint effort organized by St. Louis area stamp clubs.
More information about the event is available at the Expo's website.
