Mr. Jayson Dobney, shares his upbeat presentation, “Organological Philately: Musical Instruments on Postage Stamps”.
Mr. Dobney is a lifelong musician and stamp collector. Jayson is a multi-instrumentalist, having studied classical piano and organ as well as orchestral percussion and drum set. He is a scholar and curator of musical instruments and currently serves as the president of the American Musical Instrument Society. As a child he collected stamps, and returned to the hobby off and on, in the last five years he has merged his love of stamps with his interest in music to build a collection of music-themed stamps.
